Jebenezer Bonansinga

Jeb was born in Oct 1962 to poor migrant farm helper parents in Augusta Georgia. While staying with an uncle outside of Grinder Switch, Mississippi he recieved his first guitar at the age of twelve from an old black tenant farmer. It was peach-pickin' time in Georgia so he was forced to pack it away in his uncle's hayloft until the family returned in the fall.

Upon his return he spent many hours on the front porches of the sharecropper shacks listening and learning. His family at home would sing the traditional hymns from the Baptist church together and the Grand Ol' Opry was always to be heard. This of course is the formula for the best music white southern culture has to offer.

Jeb's first band Red Hot & Blue used this inspiration as a base for their eclectic mix of rock&roll offerings.
